Initially i was very hesitant to go to a Government office on my own,due to the various stories we’ve heard about Bribes etc.
But after this experience.. I feel that they(RTO) have changed, it took only 30min for me to complete the whole work there. It gives me more confidence to go to government offices in future, bypassing agents.

Time to go green!

Why are we still not aware of the dangers of the plastic bags on Mother Nature? An average Urban Indian may use atleast 1 plastic bag a day, roughly. Time to shift to more eco-friendly products?
Yes, its high time we realize the dangers of these plastic bags
The single-use plastic bags pose a heavy threat to the environment. With passage of time they decompose and form poisonous polymers that will contaminate the soil as well as the water underneath. They clog the drains and cause the city floods. Not just the mankind, but also other land and marine species are affected by the dangerous toxins.

Paper bags is a good option, but again it doesn’t serve the purpose of saving the mother nature. Trees are chopped and that is not a wise option long term.

So the best option is to use fabric bags. Bags made with natural fiber. Jute bags are a good common choice. Cotton bags have a better feel to it. And if you are looking for something stylish, there are linen and silks up for sale in many high end stores.

Many countries have now banned the single-use plastic bags. Each one of us has to think about it and start using the fabric bags. These days you have lots of stylish fabric bags available with many retailers. It is very wise to invest in such a bag and re-use it than using and disposing the single-use plastic bags.

We also tend to use plastic bags as garbage bags. The best option is to use a bucket to store and dispose the garbage. This could really save the earth from the millions of plastic bags that go into the garbage collection centers everyday.

I have taken this initiative and try my best to reduce the plastic I use in my everyday life. But I know it is very difficult to keep plastic away completely. Plastic bags are easily available, cheap, lightweight and also quite durable. But we can always give a try. If not to completely avoid it, we can try and reduce the use.

Next time, when you go grocery shopping, carry your own bag!

There are many other retailers in India who has lots of such bags on their shelves.

Sorry, Wrong Number!

Intentional 'wrong' numbers disturbing your phone too ??? .....

With the provision of call rates that is almost like free, the number of fake calls has increased. I have encountered a few. It becomes worse when the caller hears a female voice and then it turns into stalking. For 1 paisa per second, they find bliss but the victims get deprived of their sound sleep. When researched on the internet on stopping anonymous calls, I came across articles that stated on how relationships were adversely affected due to such calls but no answers provided. Filing a police complaint every time and then forwarding it to the telecom provider to block the number may not be a comfortable solution for all.
So here are some home remedies as we may say.
Solution #1 : Ask your spouse or family member to attend the call.
Solution #2: Do not respond to the caller. “Tere Ghar Mein Maa Behein Nahin hein kya” tells the exasperated call receiver. But those perverts just want to us to react and they win.
Solution #3: Attend the call and keep it on mute. Let them lose their money on call. When their multiple tries goes in vain, they will get de-motivated
Solution #4: Some phones have reject call option that can be allotted for selected numbers
Solution #5: If you have an Android Phone, then you have unlimited choice of free downloads for call blockers. Here you get options to have silent ring or pick and hang up for numbers that you have blacklisted.
